What Does “Ux Design” Mean?
A design is a blueprint or detailed description of the construction of an actual object or system, or for the implementation of some activity or procedure, or even the end result of this blueprint or detailed description in the form of some manufactured product, process or procedure. The verb to design normally refers to the process of designing a design. The term design actually comes from the French word “design” and “thesis” meaning goal. The design process includes several phases like research, planning, development, testing, refining, and finally presenting it to the client for acceptance. The designing process also includes several other steps like collecting data, analysis, evaluating and finally communicating it with the clients. It is very important to develop a proper designing process as it will define the final output successfully.
A user experience designer must know how to use the designing process effectively and how to use the design principles while designing any product, whether it is an online application, a website, or any other tangible product. A user experience designer should know about the basic principles of graphic design, typography, photography, image editing, video and every other aspect involved in designing products, websites, etc. A user experience designer needs to be skilled at using all the different kinds of design tools available to ensure maximum satisfaction to the clients and maximum transparency in the production. He must have a deep understanding of the needs and desires of the end users in order to satisfy them.
There are various types of designers. There are the ones who create user interfaces by creating a visual representation of how an application will appear to the average user when using it. These are known as the interface designers. On the other hand, there are the ui developers, who translate the abstract design principle into a user interface, and the rest of the team works on the details. The ui developers need to follow strict guidelines specified by the client in order to meet the deadline.
Both the types of designers have specific skills and have to work with each other very closely. However, in terms of ux and ui, there are some points which are common between both. User interface and ux have many similarities, but there are also important differences between the two. The important thing to note is that the interface or user interface design need not be unique, but it should be functional, clear, and attractive. If these things are achieved then the end users would definitely be satisfied with your product/service.
A great design also means that the communication has to be extremely clear. For example, if a person is browsing on the Internet and he comes across a website which he does not understand, what will he do? This is the kind of problem that can be addressed by great designers, and they know this very well. It is very important for the designers to understand the importance of clear communication to the customers and they should therefore pay equal attention to the texts as well as the graphics of the website. They should not forget to add any animation, audio or video features which will make the user experience extremely good.
The other very important thing about great ux design and great consumer experience is that the designers should remember that their goal is to provide great customer satisfaction. They should make sure that the layout of the website is perfect so that the visitors can find the information they want very quickly. They should ensure that the information provided by the website is relevant and up-to-date. And lastly, designers should always keep in mind that people want to buy a digital product which is easy to use. Therefore, if they have done everything right, then the buyers will definitely come back to purchase more products from that particular website.
